England's first dedicated, citywide charitable fund for enhancing public parks and green spaces has been launched in Leeds (The Leeds Parks Fund). The Leeds Parks Fund will support community-led improvements and enhancements to parks and green spaces over and above the City Council’s current work in parks.

The University of Leeds are working with partners to conduct a short survey to explore the views of Leeds residents and businesses towards charitable giving and other ways to support and fund the city’s public parks and green spaces.

The findings will feed into future plans for sustaining and improving the city’s public parks. It will inform a national Rethinking Parks programme, funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Heritage Lottery Fund and Nesta, investigating different ways to make parks more sustainable.

If you are the owner, director or senior manager of a business in Leeds, please respond to this survey by 31st December 2018.

The survey will ask about your business and its:

  • Relationship to, and engagement with, parks and green spaces
  • Charitable giving
  • Views on ways of funding parks and green spaces
  • Views on charitable giving to parks and green spaces
  • Views on the Leeds Parks Fund

The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete. All questions are optional and you can skip any of them if you wish, or leave the survey at any time.
