Verder Leeds Scholarship Application

Verder is a manufacturer and distributor of pumps based in West Yorkshire and 26 other countries around the world and supports young people in education and development.

The following courses are eligible for this scholarship: 

MSc (Eng) Advanced Mechanical Engineering

MSc Mathematics

MSc Physics

The award provides full Home fees together with a maintenance grant of approximately £9,000 (dependent on the Euro exchange rate).

Applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Be a forced migrant to the UK (a person displaced from their homeland or place of residence for political, economic, ethnic, environmental or human rights pressures), such as an asylum seeker or refugee
  • Have the residency status of one of the following:
  1. An asylum seeker – a person who has made a claim within the UK for refugee status
  2. A refugee who is unable to access funding from Student Finance England
  3. A person who has been granted Limited Leave to Remain in the UK (as a result of an asylum application)
  • Continue to have immigration status that allows them to study for the duration of their course
